BROKEN CHAIRS

On Friday evening the 15th of March I took my son from London and the rest of our family to our favourite restaurant Ocean Basket at Mall@Reds. While we were still waiting for the rest of our company we were sitting in the smoking area. It was`n 10minutes that we were sitting when the chair I was sitting on broke under me and I fell to the floor very embarressed as I am not young any more. The restaurant was full and everybody had a giggle at the back of there hands!!
I asked to see the manager and he only came after the second time I asked to see him after about 10 minutes. He came with a new chair telling me that there is 40 chairs breaking in a weeks time and each chair costs him R400 to replace!!!
That does actually have nothing to do with the public and is a very bad advertisement for the Ocean Basket group!! As this restaurant has recently been upgraded to a new premises I am sure that they should have checked their chairs AS THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH AT LEAST 40CHAIRS PER WEEK!!
Instead of standing and waiting to serve customer why can`t the waiters just check the chairs before they open every day.
I think the managers attitude with a big grin is no compliment!
