I am representing my domestic worker's family in this case. Her son, an employee of McDonalds at the time of his death, passed away 3 years ago. Despite repeated requests. meetings and emails with the HR dept at the Sandton (Woodmead) Head Office, this claim has still not been paid. The family has told the claim is processed, and all documents have been signed. There are four dependants requiring financial assistance, and the family has been treated appallingly by McDonald's. No one bothers to contact us to tell us when they will be paid, everyone seems to pass the buck.
