On the 8th of February at 19:10 I ordered two chicken hamburgers. One without sauce an added pineapple. I repeated the order and the cashier got it wrong so I repeated it again. When the food came to the table one of the burgers was missing a pineapple slice so I took it back. They immediately asked that I pay the extra R6 for the slice even though it was their mistake I payed immediately.
As soon as I took a bite I tasted mayonnaise. I am allergic to the ingredients in mayonnaise. I took the food back to the cashier where he started to argue that no sauce doesn't include mayonnaise in their systems. I ask if he would classify mayonnaise as a sauce and he said yes but in the system that is not included in the "no sauce" button.
I was lucky enough to have anti-histamine in my car and had only a slight rash. I could have had a severe allergic reaction if I hadn't taken medication. Stay away from Nando's they spend all their money on clever advertisements and none on staff training. If the staff member were able to identify mayonnaise as a sauce and knew the no sauce button didn't include this I could have enjoyed a lovely meal. I paid for a bite because of poor training.
