I had to think quick. I'd just pulled into Sloane Square. It was after 2pm and I needed to get back to the office but I needed lunch first and I needed it fast. I saw Nandos, then KFC drive-through. The drive-though was tempting. Stay in my car, eat on the run. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a Nandos fillet though, as I placed my order over the counter with Lebo at Nandos. Hot, Eat In, please. I selected a table and made myself comfortable. The chilled glass with ice and mielie snacks, with toothpick, was a lovely touch. I was already happy with my choice of Nandos, and my food hadn't arrived yet! Within three minutes a lady stood by my side, plate in hand. That can't be my order already, I thought to myself. Yet it was, in all its fresh, tongue-lashing glory. Sorry Colonel Saunders - you've been demoted.
