Within minutes of arriving at Ocean Basket Chilli Lane, one can tell the restaurant is in a poor state of affairs. Though there are plenty of open tables, getting seated took at least 5 minutes. Once seated, the area leading to the kitchen looks like a dirty street alley, littered with papers and general dirt. For starters we ordered haloumi cheese and had to request sweet chilli sauce (usually it comes with the order at other Ocean Baskets). We were told there was no sauce, however a manager came over with one after we asked to see him. The bottle however was filthy, covered with fingerprints of dried sweet chilli. We placed our orders for our mains only to be told a few minutes later that the kitchen had run out of chips and was left with no choice but to change orders. I was so disappointed and will no longer be a patron of that Ocean Basket again.
