Both the manager & the chef at Papachino's are what I can only describe as lacking in basic service industry skills. At lunch on Saturday, my father was subjected to the most rude, aggressive & outright shocking treatment all because he felt his meal (chicken) that both my mother & him had tasted, was off. Instead of coming to our table with some kind of apology or solution, both Johan the manager & Nick the chef felt it necessary to come & attack my father about the fact that this chicken had been returned. All we had intended to do was get a replacement meal for my dad without considering the cost, & what we got in return for our reasonable actions was a pathetic reflection of how how not to run a business. We always went to l Papachino's Lonehil & started going to the morningside one because of it's convenience from home, but never again. I personally will never recommend to anyone. How can you have both a manager & a chef loudly attacking a patron under any circumstances??? 1 meal out of 8 was complained about, with a total grand value of R98 out of the R700 bill & yet we could have been armed robbers the way they behaved. Even a child would manage a restaurant better. Rubbish!!!
