Besides the bad service over the phone when placing the order, the staff were equally as unfriendly, rude and disinterested in the restaurant.
On opening our dinner at home, a shocking excuse for chicken awaited us. The chicken was barely a quarter chicken, it was burn and the skin was actually shriveled, it looked as though it had been cooked a week ago and had been sitting out to dry. There were actually pieces broken off it, as if the chef snacked on it after cooking it and gave us the left overs. Upon dissecting the chicken it only got worse, the chicken was drier than it looked, it even had a grainy texture synonymous with old chicken, there was no way this meal had been cooked on that day. Also, it baffled me why we were asked what sauce we would like, as the chicken had not a drop of sauce on it, both the mild and veri peri quarter chickens tasted equivalent to boiled chicken, only drier. After loading the stale chips, roll and dried out old chicken with our own sauce at home, the meal was still disgusting and inedible.
Very disappointing, especially after having eating delicious, succulent and flavorful chicken from Barcelos previously.
