Me and my colleague went to Vovo Telo at the Grayston Centre and for lunch on Monday the 28th of Jan. We ordered our meals and afterwards ordered a piece of their Bar One cake for dessert. The cake came, but was very stale and had started to become stringy. We asked the waiter how old this cake was and she said it was 5 days old - I believe it is too old to serve. We asked if they had any fresher cakes, she replied that the Red Velvet was fresher, we said that would be fine. The manager came over and said that the Red Velvet was in fact not fresher and that they had no cake to serve us. Isn't the point of a bakery to have freshly baked goods? You can't serve 5 day old cake and then only say sorry after the customer complains - if you know your cake is old, don't serve it.
