I went into Debonairs about an hour ago.
I ordered four pizzas.
I then decided to have a cooldrink while I was waiting.
She told me it was R12.90 (which, by the way, is s ridiculous price) and I gave her R15.00.
She gave me R2.00 back and said she had no .10c pieces for change.
I told her she ought to make a plan as, on a matter of principle, she owed me the change.
The young man working with her then opened another drawer and gave me my change.
So there WAS change available.
While I was waiting I checked my change for the pizzas.
Here she had short changed me forty cents without saying anything to me.
When I confronted her she bent down and came up with 50c and slammed it on the counter.
When I got back to the car and told my husband he said the same thing had happened to him.
It appears that short changing the customers is the norm.
It is unacceptable!
