My girlfriend and I decided to get coffee at Vida this morning. She wanted something to eat as well and ordered a croissant with salami and egg, as she can't have cheese because she's pregnant. Upon receiving the croissant, she noticed that it was cheese and salami, not egg and salami.
I took it to the guy behind the till, who took the order and explained to him. He insisted that he had heard "cheese" and not "egg". I told him that she had clearly said "egg". Why would she have ordered cheese if she knows that she can't have cheese. He replaced the croissant with the right one and sarcastically said "enjoy".
Before leaving, I clearly heard him venting to his co workers in his native tongue.
I've been getting my coffee there for the past couple of years, and it's the first time I've encountered such bad attitude. The Vida guys always have a smiles on their faces and are always in a jovial mood, but this guy was the complete opposite.
Very disappointing.
