On the 22/06/2012 my family and I visited McDonalds N1 City, Goodwood Cape Town. We ordered 4 Big Mac meals. The ventilation of the outlet was out of order and when our orders arrived, the chips were almost cold. Upon opening my Big Mac I noticed a big section amiss from the top bun and clear evidence it was savoured by a mouse. I was disgusted and immediately lost my appetite. I informed the manager and was just told sorry when I complained. I completed a visitors card and left it at that. Some time later my family and I visited McDonalds Kuilsriver and there we also experienced a lack of empathy and misleading advertising. I was livid and contacted their Customer Service Centre telephonically. The call centre colleague was very apologetic and assured me both these matters will see their attention. She took my details, advised someone will be in contact with me and happily offered me some vouchers which I accepted but to date received none. It is more than a year later and still nothing. Stop taking customer complaints at face value! Pacifying a customer will not make the problem go away. Rethink how you react on customer complaints and action what you say/promise!!
