ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

A promotion was run by the establishment through one of the group buying companies. Ready to redeem my coupon, I visited the coffee shop & was told a hard copy was mandatory (I just had it on my phone at that time). Agreeably I went downstairs, printed it for the nice lady & brought it back. I was told I can't have my meal to go. It had to be a sit-down. I didn't bother to ask why. Went on to have a nibble for a while & figured I'd really love to have the rest of the meal to go. I'd thought it my prerogative.

So I asked if I could & at that point the lady snapped & went off on a tangent about how I didn't understand that from a business perspective she's not making any profit from the promotion; that the packaging was R1.50 & I should not ask her twice for it to be wrapped. Further, I was informed that from the time I'd set foot in the coffee shop, I'd offended her sensibilities by not having my coupon ready printed; that there are rules & regulations. I offered to pay extra for the packaging. She said no. I proposed that we forget the whole thing. That wasn't on either. Then I blew a fuse. HOW DARE THIS WOMAN TREAT ANY CUSTOMER IN SUCH A MANNER!? RUDE. OBNOXIOUS. DEAD WRONG.
