I visit Nando's regularly and my usual order is 1/4 Chicken with Peri Wedges.
I prefer the leg part.
A 1/4 leg part should consist of the Leg & Thye.
A 1/4 Breast part should consist of the Breast & the Wing Part.
This is however not the case when you order the 1/4 Leg part. It is always JUST the leg and if you lucky a 1/3 of the Thye part. This means the other 2/3 of the Thye part goes to the person that orders a 1/2 Breast part chicken. This is not just the norm @ the Menlyn Branch. My experience is the same no matter which branch I go to. I have mentioned it on numerous occasions at the various branches, and the excuse of the manager on duty is usually that it is difficult to cut the 1/4 chicken so perfectly. Strange that it is always in favour of the Breast part.
I recently bought a Oven Grilled 1/4 Chicken Leg part from Woolworths and was very surprised to find my full 1/4 leg part consisting of the Leg and the full Thye part. The reason for Woolworths's portions to be so accurate is because the branches receive their portions already in the pre cut portions.
@ Nando's the Kitchen staff is responsible for cutting the portions. They certainly need more training.
