I have been to the Greenside, Rosebank and Centurion branches often, with only the BEST service and food. Last night my husband and I decided to go to the Bedford View branch. We were the last customers, but we still arrived an hour before closing time. We were not given the complimentary breadbasket which we are at other branches. We ordered the minestrone soup as a starter, which we have done at other branches. The soup was nowhere near the standard that we had previously experienced. It had to be drenched with salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce to be bearable. Whilst eating this, the waitress bring to our attention that they are closing at 9 and asked if she could bring the mains. We then asked her what Craft beers they have. She was unaware it was even on the menu. She then went to the bar and showed it to us from the bar - she didn't even bring to the table and expected us to make a decision based on how the bottle looks. She then brought the food. The Salmon alla Griglia is way over cooked, harder than the chicken we ordered and almost uneatable. Needless to say the R162 dish was wasted. The toilets were dirty and had no hand towels/driers. Worst Doppio Zero experience ever!
