I've never been so appalled by the service I received in a fast-food restaurant. The FishAways in Bluewater Bay decided to put a trainee behind the counter on a Sunday afternoon - one who seemed completely devoid of any sense of urgency. Not only did he take my order down incorrectly, he also never put my order through to the kitchen. To add insult to injury, after waiting for nearly an hour, he asked me what I was waiting for. At this point I was ready to scream. When he eventually put my order in, I had to wait even longer for my food - only to discover that he only rang up 1 platter instead of 2. The last straw was when he brought me my final order, but did not give me the beverage I paid for.
All he could say was "Sorry sir. I promise it won't happen again." At least he got one thing right - it won't happen again, because I'm never going back and I certainly hope nobody else does either. FishAways is the only take-aways close to where I work, but I would rather eat a garage pie than have to endure that torture again.
