Pot Luck Club cancels booking for the third time

After waiting months to get a reservation at Cape Town's most hip and happening restaurant we were called by the receptionist and told that unfortunately our booking for 19th of July could not be accommodated and that we would need to reschedule our plans and choose a alternative weekday evening.

While this was frustrating, this wasn't the first time. We'd previously booked and had our reservation cancelled and moved three times already and this was now the fourth time - for the same booking! The latest email said that a booking had been made for the whole restaurant for the evening we were to attend, and that as the deposit had now been paid, our reservation had to be changed. This is notwithstanding that we confirmfed our booking two months ago (after PLC had already changed it). Who runs a restaurant like this!

Management is incompetent and nobody there seems to be taking ownership of the reservations process. Our experience with the food at Tasting room was relatively good, although the service there left something to be desired. I fear this same bad attitude has spread to other of Luke Dale Roberts' restaurants.
