I work in the hospitality industry, so I do understand that when I go to a restaurant any restaurant - I am VERY CRITICAL - but this service tops the cake!
My family and I had decided to try out Adega's Restaurant, because I had heard so many good things about them, the service, the staff and best of all the food. However to my demise we had arrived at about 19h00 and our waitress Nthombi (presume that's how it is spelt) was very professional and very welcoming to us, because we were celebrating mine and my brothers birthday - so when we arrived the table was set up nicely and we had received our drinks and starters within the first half and hour of being there.
BUT, towards the end of the evening things had taken a turn for the worst - service had become slow, guests were cleaning their own tables, and we had officially waited almost 2 hours for our main courses, eventually we decided to leave this was 21h30!
They still wanted to charge us for the mains we never had and the Front of House Manger had every excuse under the sun, blaming the waitress and the kitchen! Never came up with a solution.
STILL WAITING FOR IT! So yes this place gets the worst service of the year award!
