We celebrated my fianc? 's 30th with family at the Irene Dairy and booked for the braai buffet long in advance. I can actually not tell you how embarrassed and disappointed I was with regards to the quality of food. I am not one to write letters of complaint, but this simply has to be brought to your attention. Some of my guests actually refused the food and went hungry, I was really humiliated!
The chicken and the boerewors was beyond raw. Everyone had to go back and ask to have it re-cooked after cutting open a piece of meat.
There was not even a bread roll in sight for the kids to put their sausages on.
The "steak" (If you can call it that) was the same minute steak pieces I can cook for my kid at home on a week night.
There was a long wait at the braai area were people just stared at empty containers while we waited for some meat to actually be cooked and a new potato bake to arrive.
The ice cream cake we kept in the fridge had basically melted while we waited for dessert bowls and spoons to be bought out after requesting them ages before bringing out the cake.
It was a disaster to say the least. There is so much hype about Irene Dairy
