Went for dinner to Karoo last night, the waiter made a MISATKE with my order, which he apologized for and went to fetch the correct order. Need I say, I did not make a scene, I did not complaint, I did not ask for the manager or owner. The owner got to hear of the mistake and decided to reprimand the waiter in a very condescending way in front of the entire restaurant which was very unprofessional. He then came to apologise and said he is going to make him pay for the incorrect food on which I replied "shame, it was just a mistake" He then told me not to "shame" as he must be thought a lesson. Needless to say, my appetite was gone. The poor waiter is just trying to make a living for his family. I took my food take away and asked for the bill, I gave the waiter a R100 tip which is equivalent to the food he had to pay and left. There is no nice way to say this. But that old man does not belong in a restaurant, not even if he is the owner of the franchise. He needs to stay very, very far from his own restaurant, he will chase people away. They will NEVER see me again
