I must confess, I've only been eating Spur or McDonald's burgers lately. But, last night, I had the Steers Shake It Up special: a burger, chips and milkshake for just R29.90 -- which is great value.
As a result, I had my doubts about how good the quality could be. Plus, it was a big -- and busy -- student party night on the eve of a public holiday AND they were having issues with their credit and debit card facilities. It all seem destined to go downhill... until I got home and started on my takeaways.
Hands down the best burger, chips and shake I've had all year. Crunchy lettuce and a fat slice of juicy tomato; just the right amount of sauce; a soft, fresh roll; and a patty that tasted homemade and handmade: fantastic!
