I phoned to make an enquiery on my check account. The automated voice says the call will be answered in 5 minutes.
I waited over 10 minutes to get through to an operator, which took R30.00 of my cell phones air time.
When an operator eventually answered the phone, my cell phone beeped because it was about to go off.
I politely asked the operator if she could please call me back, as my phones air time was about to run out.
She wouldnt do it as she says that they are an inbound call centre and not allowed to make an out going calls, only recieve incoming.
I think this is really pathetic, that customers have to wait for so long to get through to an agent, at the end, cant be served. my query couldnt get attended to, so it was not resolved, yet I wasted R30.00 of my air time.
standard bank doesnt consider this when it comes to customers. they dont allow thier agents to give customers a curteousy call back.
It is only decent customer services, to actually do that!
So what kind of service is the Standard Bank call centre providing, if the qeues is so long and not enough agents on the phones to take the call in reasonable amount of time?
