INCORRECTLY BILLED

In 2005 i had 2 credit cards that where allegedly not paid - i was only contacted in 2009 to pay these cards after not hearing from anybody for 4 years, i received no documents or letters indicating this debt and did not acknowledge any of the debt either. Out of good faith i started paying these cards, 1 of which i settled over a year ago which has still not been taken off trace alert. The 2nd card had an opening balance of R17 000 which R500 was paid to each month for the last 2/3 years, only to now see that the closing balance has jumped up to R23 000??? What is the point of even paying as the balance never seems to come down! I have also never received any statements or any form of correspondence from DMC. This debt prescribed more than 3 years ago, and no correspondence was ever sent to me acknowledging the debt! So i will now be placing a stop order on these payments and DMC will not receive another cent! Legal action will be taken if i am not removed off ITC.
