August 2009 I paid R4000, which I thought was settlement on ABSA CC. I never heard another word, nor received statements. Beginning of 2012 ABSA started journal debiting my savings account with random amounts (now amounting to thousands of rands). I queried telephonically and in writing and asked for copies of statements. ABSA said at Oct 2010 I owed R13000, for a card I did not use since Aug 2009. I asked for statements, which they have not produced, but they continue debiting my account, sometimes R1600, R1400, and now recently R1250. After discussions eventually AT MY INSTANCE they agreed to provide me with statements on disputed account, but sent an Excel spreadsheet instead which means nothing to me. They do not reply to my emails, particularly after I was hospitalised (I forwarded copies of all medical reports) in Jan-March 2013 & the deductions continued - against child maintenance paid by my former husband. That in itself is illegal. ABSA unbdertook NOT to debit my account until resolution of this matter, but continue to do so and now ignore my emails and queries. IF anything was owed it would have prescribed in Aug 2012, but they still cant give me the statements
