I called outsurance at 3.30pm on the 15th of April to get a better insurance quote as advertised. They could not provide me with a lower premium and also told me that I don't "qualify" for the promotion a I was a previous customer of theirs in 2011. Many of my friends have been declined the R400 for a variety of reasons, not including this one. It seems outsurance has come up with this sales gimmick to lure new customers without actually paying anyone R400. What I can't understand is in all the tv adverts being a previous customer has never been mentioned as a disqualifying factor and their are no t&c's stipulated in writing or verbally allowing you to find out any disqualifying factors. This is false advertising and I will send a complaint to the ombudsman if not resolved.
