No resolvement to accident claim - Bad service

Saturday 6 April my car was involved in a accident which was the fault of the other party. i contacted Outsurance as soon as it happend. As requested i supplied all the relevent documents including the quote on repair of the car on Monday 8 April. The person handeling our claim told me and my husband the damage was bigger then the current value of the car. The cost of the repair was R12000 & i took the car for a quote to repair centre they requested (M&N Bakwerke, Worcester)-i was not given a other option for a quote for repair. In my original conversation i told the call centre that the claim must be against the insurance of the other party..I supplied the contact details of the company and the case number at the police station. They still however only gave me two options: 1:write off the car or 2. they will pay the damage amount that they see fit... I do not agree with this as i requested them to claim the funds from the other party. I have still not received any response from outsurance. I contacted them numerously-they just said that someone from the law department will phone me back... i am still waiting!!!
