I applied for a personal loan via the internet on the FNB website and received an sms that I have been approved for my online application this was on the on the 6th April 2013. I received a call from the a call center agent from FNB and I did the whole application telephonically and I was approved on a way lesser amount compared to the initial sms confirmation. It has been several hours that I did the application, sent all the necessary documentation and I have no response at all. This is not the first time FNB has done this, I have been approved on two credit card applications but had been told have been declined but when seeing a recent ITC report of mine on both occasions I showed I had credit accounts. FNB are liars they are and after being a client for almost a decade it's depressing how unprofessional and unethical AND unlawful how FNB deals with their daily "services" or day light. I have had enough from FNB and the Ombudsmen will hear about all of this.
