Paid my Account online but even today payment gone

I paid my account on the 1st of March 2013. I used the banking details that was supplied on my spitz statement. I received a call around the 10th of march to say that my account is in areas and I told the consultant that I paid my account online she said I must e-mail my bank statement I did, A week later I was told that I need to provide the bank account number that the money was paid in. I asked if the bank statement is not enough proove? Right now on my credit record it shows that my account is behind with March payment which I did pay in time. Please sort this mess out.
