My previous report "Illogical Bureaucracy" dated 19 Feb refers. I decided to withdraw my application to increase my home loan since Absa insisted I must first complete the process to have my already City Council Approved plans (for renovations) - also approved / registered with the Sectional Title division. As this would cost me around R10 000 I requested to do it once - after completion of the outstanding changes - I intended to do with the R80 000 loan. ABSA refused claiming it is policy. I still felt that this makes absolutely no sense and that Absa did not value me enough as client and that this loan had absolutely no risk to them - to which they actually agreed. Apart from loosing a substantial amount on interest which ABSA did not refund - on an advanced payment I made of R25 000 on my homeloan - as I struggled to get my Flexi- facility reinstated I am still struggling to get the amount reflected as such. To date the amount is still not reflected as such - despite several communiques to set it right. I believe I had enough of Absa's incompetency and since they appear to not consider me a valued clients I would welcome any bank interested in my business to contact me
