Arrears Amount still reflecting

I moved from Standard bank to FNB last year. I set up all the debit orders etc, which Wesbank did not process on their part. With the result that one of my debit orders did not go through. After speaking to Wesbank, I was told that the mistake was indeed on their side and that they would write off the R160 arrears amount. Today I phoned for my settlement only to find out that this has in fact not been done, and that the amount is still reflecting. I do find this in bad taste as I am sure this is affecting my credit record. Not once was I even informed that there is still an amount outstanding.
