I am hugely disappointed with my interaction with EC finance. I applied for a loan with them this morning and got a prompt reply that I had been declined on affordability. I found that hard to believe so I promptly called them back to enquire how they work out the affordability. On further enquiry the call centre agent that assisted me told me that I was declined as I am not an SA citizen. I find this quite worrying as I am a permanent resident with a valid SA ID. Is this right?
