I held a home insurance policy with Woolworths, for which I wanted to add on car insurance. So I called Woolworths in Dec to obtain and quote, then I advised that I was still shopping around and would get back to them should I decide to take it. I then went with another company on both car &home insurance. I requested a cancellation of my woolies policy which was never processed because I kept having debits going off my account still! On querying these debits, I was told that my policy was still active. I had this matter escalated to a manager by the name of Ashwell Erasmus, what a useless piece of nothing! After endless phone calls and emails, my bank account was again debited with their premium. I contacted Ashwell and advised of this and he confirmed that the 2 debits that went off would be refunded. While waiting for the refund another debit went off my bank account again! Which I again, referred back to Ashwell, only to receive a refund on 1 debit today. I am at wits end with Woolies and very disgusted at this appalling service!
