A student loan was applied for and after approval, the credit department then had a supposed 'back-log' and didn't complete my payment in time. Furthermore, a debit for the interest went off the surety's account and the loan hasn't even been approved granted yet. Nedbank credit department then returns the forms to the branch I was dealing with and has the nerve to report an error of: 'cannot complete application because a middle name from my ID document was missing'. Basically, the credit department approves a loan, takes off interest, and then due to their incompetence they cant even read an ID document properly and then it becomes our problem to have to re-sign everything again.
The bank is quick to approve a loan and deduct interest, yet when it comes to receiving the funds they delay the process. Fortunately there were other temporary funds available otherwise I would not have been able to register for studies and would have hence forfeited the opportunity to finish my Masters' year of study.
Nedbank has a false pride in being a top bank, but this degree of incompetence leads me to disagree.
