Espond in time

I applied for a student loan on the 30 January 2013 (apparently this loan only takes less then a week to receive responds), but till to this day I have not received any responds. A week later I went to the my local Standard Bank Branch to ask for help. The lady working there referred me to a guy by the name of Namie who works at the call centre who would assist me. I called the number and got hold of him, but he also couldn't tell me what the problem was, he just kept on telling me I should call after an hour, so I did that then I couldn't get hold of him. Even to today when I try to call this number 011 418 2326 from Standard Bank call centre, nobody responds all of the sudden. THE THING THAT MAKES ME MORE UPSET IS THE FACT THAT I HAD TO PUT MY STUDIES ON HOLD, BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CONFIRMATION FROM MY SO CALLED BANK. If I had known this was the outcome I would have made alternative plan.
