I have a massive leak on my property which I reported immediately to Standard Bank. They asked for quotes which I sent to them. They said they never received them. I sent them again which they ignored until I phoned them. Then they went to look for them and said they would pay them, though they said they would underpay me. I have a letter from them saying this. They have still not paid me. I have been without water for over a month. Now the ceiling under the leak has collapsed and the foundations under the leak are also beginning to collapse. What is going on??? You insist I pay you insurance because I have my home loan with you and then you you do everything not to pay me??? Including telling me when I first called your call centre that you do not cover leaks and only from going from one person to the next to find someone who finally agreed that you do cover leaks. I wonder how many insurance claims you escape with this method by people who give up long before I did? As i did give up years ago when I called to about my wall to wall carpet which had been destroyed from a sewage flood and you said you did not cover this. I will take this one to ombudsman
