For more than a year FNB IB has received a monthly broker fee from me, but now claims that the policy they provided me with does not include broker representation. Nowhere in my communications with the person who sold me the policy is that worded. I had a claim toward that policy that was not dealt with by FNB IB that has been rejected and FNB IB is further refusing to attend to the matter even though they were happy to have me pay for the service of broker representation for more than a year. I have exhausted all avenues at FNB IB head office and am left trying to reach their Director, but am being met with resistance.
Upon asking a FNB IB employee what my monthly broker fee indeed bought me, the answer was "not much". How is it acceptable to charge a fee for a service only to deny that service upon request? FNB IB has to deal with this. All they've done so far is shrugging it off.
I feel that upon accepting the broker fee, erroneous as it may have been, FNB IB has to be able to deliver the service.
