Over 2 years ago, my mother, the policyholder approached LegalWise Durban to assist in a labour matter wherein she was unfairly retrenched. The matter was referred to the Motor Industry Bargaining Council and award granted. The attorneys were to make the award an order of court to obtain payment from the other side. Application was made and we went back and forth with the attorneys who weren't very efficient time wise as well as in terms of actually being able to retrieve these monies. Legal Wise never reported to her unless I called or e-mailed for feedback. It felt like the only time they actually followed up or opened the file was when I would call and request progress. Around the latter part of 2013 I was contacted by a woman from LegalWise who advised that she took over the file and required my mum to sign affidavits which she did. To date we have not heard from her. Its appalling that it is two years and running to get a simple award that was granted to be paid out!! LegalWise has complete disregard for its clients and treated this matter with no urgency especially for a client who is out of a job and has no funds. I don't recommend LegalWise - use another service provider!!!
