I have a pending matter that I handed over to Nelspruit legal wise regarding a landlord that refuses to pay me back my deposit. I was referred to Mr Gama an attorney in Nelspruit who informed me that I can expect a long wait before my matter is addressed as they prioritize private clients who pay them well. Apparently legal wise pays peanuts & so that is why he had next to him on his desk a pile of legal wise files that will only be addressed in between private clients matters. However my remedy would be to top up legal wise rates then I could be as important as the private clients. I responded by telling him that it was unethical & unacceptable service. Despite that I have lived the realities of this prejudice. After a whileI received a call from a Pretoria attorney who requested I explain my matter & further that he had no official hand over documentation to action anything further. I offered to get that from the Nelspruit attorneys, with whom he arranged I could meet within that day. I arrived & found the Nelspruit office closed for the festive. This is very disappointing given the many years of my loyal membership.
