Advice needed.
Recently I sold my house. Everything went fine; the bank approved everything without any problem or reservation. The lawyers did all the legal things and the house was registered in the new owner's name. Unfortunately when STANDARD BANK was suppose to pay out the money they refused. What are you suppose to do if the house has already legally been transferred to the other owner but your money are being held hostage by the bank. After some threads with legal action they paid out some of the money however they are keeping back some of the money stating they first need house plans before they will pay out the rest. I tried to arrange for the plans to be drawn however the city council states as I am not the home owner I am not legally allowed to draw the house plans. What am I suppose to do? Did STANDARD bank successfully my money with their corrupt system? Are other people also becoming victims in similar situations? Is there any help or advice for me or I am I just a warning to others to beware of this bank and their practices. Any help would be welcome.
