Just about had it with the unauthorised debits that take place in my cheque account. Do not know whether this is universal with cheque accounts because I do have a savings account with Absa but there has never been an unauthorised debit with them. This has been recurring a number of times and it is almost but impossible to trace the company making the debits and all that the standard bank personell can do is to give you a number which will result in you the client phoning dozen other numbers and ending flabbergasted and defeated by the chase. I have spoken to Standard Bank customer service and they have not been able to advice me with a full-proof protection to safeguard my money from this.
