My mom who is 71 years invested into these shares in 2006 an bought 430 shares. She was advised that this is a good investment. She was advised that the shares was going to be reinvested and the trading would start in December 2013. She did not mind this because believed that she would receive a good payout from her investment.
Well on the 9th December she sold her shares and only received what she paid for it.
My mother is disgusted and dissappointed as she was relying on the investment returns and now she is left with nothing.
Why was no communication given to shareholders regrding the poor performance of this fund. I mean MTN shares started trading about 2 weeks ago and a share was bought at R10 and now trading at R80 a share.
How does this happen. The shareholders demand answers
