Debit order processed after cancellation

I am dispappointed with the poor service delivery by Oneplan and I am confident that this is not the first time such an incident occurred.
My fiance cancelled her membership on the 4th of November as she joined as a dependant on my medical aid during the same day.
She was informed that a 30 day notice applies and that they needed to be informed on the 1st of November (considering the weekend between 1st and 4th), which is in fact one business day late.
We were informed due to late notification another debit order will be processed for the month of December.
We requested for this not to happen and we even escalated the matter to management.
We received response that we dont need to worry as we will still have another month of medical cover (which we dont want as we are already on another)
As a result, another debit order was processed on the 1st of December for the full amount. I cannot understand why only a proportionate amount was deducted which would have been from the 1st to the 4th of December?? Why should members only give notice on the 1st, and be punished with another debit order if any other notifcation date applies??
