Eturning debit orders

Two of my debit orders went off on saturday which the bank. allowed. I transferred funds into my account early sunday morning, only for them to return my debit orders and charging me R138 per debit a day later. They keep telling me it is system generated, but how do they honour them one minute and return them a day later while funds were available in my account when they returned them. FNB, how can we help you is well advertised, but instead there is no help, only bad service. And on top of it all i have been with FNB for 32 years.
