I am fuming with anger!!! A few months ago MFC apparently migrated to Nedbank with which I do not have a problem. However, on my statement dated 18 May 2013 an extra amount of R6543.59 was added to my account as "initial finance charges". I have phoned them numerous times now asking for an explanation for this, but I keep on getting the same answer - "we have migrated to Nedbank". It is as if this is an automated response because I have tried explaining in different ways what I would like to know, but they keep on giving the same answer and not responding to the questions asked. My outstanding balance in May is now more than what it was in April and that after another payment was made. I have a copy of my original contract but nowhere can I see that said amount and why would they only now put the initial finance charges on my account. I would really like an explanation. When and where were we informed of the migration to Nedbank? Since when does any financial institution have the right to change any contract (legal) without informing you first? MFC has never contacted me in writing, sms, or phone call. According to me this is very unlawful without notifying that person
