I have just heard that Betterbond consultant did not read the contract before applying at ABSA bank for our loan!!! I now have to desperately get hold of... wait for it... R44000!!! If not, we stand a good chance of losing our dream house.
In October we applied and signed the contract already. Applied through Betterbond for loan and got a 100% loan approved. We went ahead with the contract and were told in November that registration is about two weeks away.
on MONDAY I was informed that the ABSA withdrew from the deal, because the constultant gave through INCORRECT information because the consultant did not go through the contract before sending through to the bank. I wish i had the luxury of just saying sorry when I make a mistake at work.
I do not trust Betterbond and wish I never have to deal with them ever again. This is my first home loan application ever and I have never before been so disappointed in service. Take note that I did not have the option of choosing some else to look after my interests as this is the company the estate agent uses (currently renting the house).
I cannot believe that I might loose this house because of an incompetent consultant.
