I had cover for 2 vehicles with this pathetic company One vehicle was insured with option not to pay excess if involved in accident. I paid dearly for this option as it increases your premium a of alto. But this was my choice. When I contacted Miway yesterday to report an accident, I was advised that I have lost that option and have Twp pay R3300 excess. According to them, I was notified by email, that my policy has been changed, and to top it all, my premium has increased from R1300 to R1500, without having the benefit of no excess!!! I never received the mail and if I did, I would not have agreed. How can they just change, my benefits as per my contract, not giving me a decrease in premium payments, but instead my premium increases??? And all this, just by sending an email. No proof can be provided that I did acknowledge receipt of this email??? How can you just go a change such an important part of someones contract, that I am paying extra for, and still increase the premium??? I will never ever recommend Miway to anybody. This kind of change of contract or agreement, should be discussed either tlelphonically or in person with the client.
