I would like to make people aware of MDN Financial Services, they offer loans to people who are already in debt. I made a loan with them in 2011 and I was skipping a few months without paying due to financial stress but I always made arrangements with them. All of a sudden I was called by a very rude collections guy threatening my life and threatening to take everything I owe and I also received a letter claiming that I owe them R43 000. For this case I refuse to pay as I will not pay R43 000 for something I don't understand. My point is how did my debt move from R12 000 to R43 000 in a few months? Is this their way of ripping people who already don't have money off, most people who go there to seek loans are people who are very disadvantaged and already in debt. I would like to know if they are registered and if they do everything according to the South African Law, there are accounts I've been owing for longer than them but they still haven't charged me that kind of interest. Please investigate and help.
