Since I have opened a business account with FNB last year November an amount of R75 has been deducted from my account every month on the 1st. This amount is supposedly for value added services and upon further investigation I was informed that I requested statements from the branch, which is not true.

The transaction for December was reversed. On the 1st of Jan 2013 I encountered exactly the same problem and contacted the business banking manager at the branch - Samara. She committed herself to resolving this problem but since last week Tuesday I have not heard from her again. The transaction has not been reversed.

Further to this I find it appalling that Samara, the manager, stated that she cannot guarantee that the problem will be fixed permanently and that should it happen again I will have to see a consultant at the branch!

Why on earth can Samara as a manager not escalate this internally and ensure that I am not further inconvenienced? Samara also stated that it is not easy to resolve problems such as this since FNB is "so big, that it is difficult to find the right person to resolve the problem."
