Someone rode into the back of my car... went and had the car assessed, did what Outsurance told me to do... found a panel beaters... they did the quote to repair... submitted it to Outsurance... they sent it to me and deducted 10%...said its normal as I am the claimant not the insured... I must get the 10% from the person who rode into me... and... they insisted that they pay me out with a bank transfer, which they did... but I had to sign a document that I cannot go back to them and claim more money if they find something further wrong with my vehicle once at the panel beaters...
Is this acceptable... I am really upset at them... it wasn't a lot of damage (total R15, 900) but even so... I now have to ask the insured party for the 10%...and that party, does not reply to my emails... so I will have to pay it to the panel beaters before they release the car back to me... and try get the money from the person who drove into me...
