I took their comprehensive vehicle insurance 2 years back. My understanding was that my spouse is also covered. The car was involved in a car accident driven by my husband and after phoning everyone around us trying to find loop holes, they rejected the claim after a month.
Firstly, that my spouse was the principal driver not me - despite documents stating that if it was driven by anyone else the insurance would pay but we would have to pay an excess amount. Now they will not pay that the car was mostly driven by my spouse.
Secondly, the car was mostly in Pretoria than Mpumalanga where I work. The accident took place on a freeway regardless of where the car was parked at night. The car was not in any of the adresses. To top it up, they debited money for November even though the car is with them and written off!
