I stopped using my Standard Bank account 6 months ago and it should've gone dormant after 6 months, instead of closing the account they have been billing me and have failed to let me know that they have been deducting on the dormant account. The reason i left Standard bank in the first place was because every month they were deducting R300.00 to R500.00 from my account and even though i went personally into the bank they could not find out where the extra monies were being deducted from. even though my account went dormant they still allowed an old debt order to be be deducted from the account. i had cancelled the debt order with the third party company and they forgot to stop the debts. Not once in 6 months did Standard Bank try and contact me to find out why i have stopped using their sevices. if they were truly worried about me as a client and intrested in my business and why their are no transactions with them, they shouldve phoned and spoke to me. They allowed for me to get billed in the negative for too long. I know four otehr people that left Standard Bank due to unaccounted monies that were taken off.
